Hi,

I'm Esmeralda Smits from Holland. I'm 31 years old and a huge fan of Gloria sinds I was 12 years old! It all begun with hearing Oye mi canto on the radio. Well to be ounest years earlyer I also loved the videoclip of Bad boy (with the cats) and Can't stay away from you, but I was to young to know who was the singer of those beautifull songs. I got a cassette tape of Cut's both ways with Sinterklaas (somekind of Dutch Santaclaus on december 5th.) and was immediatly in love with that music! And I really worn my mother out listening to it! I must have made her crazy listening everyday to Gloria's music haha.

I started to collect everyting I could find about Gloria and MSM. Every magazine where they where in I had to buy and also her music. Today I have almost all her lp's from MSM before 1984 in Spanish, all her cd's from after 1984 and a lot of dvd/video's. Of witch I'm very proud to have been able to find! It realy gives me a thrill when I find something I don't have yet!

I've seen Gloria live in 1996 during her Evolution tour in Holland, and it was so great to finaly see her live performing on stage! She sounds live even better than on her albums! She has such a warmth and pure sound in her voice, and she sings with so much passion and emotion, love it!

Last year in 2007, I finaly met Gloria in real live during her 3 days of promotion for 90 millas in Holland. Together with Sandra, a friend of mine, I watched Gloria performe in Tros Gouden uren, and shook hands with her afterwards, she is so pattient and nice to her fans! She's so sweet and down to earth!

The day afterwards I met her once again at the majors house in Rotterdam where Gloria received the key to Rotterdam, and the 3th. day I saw her performe live from the port of Rotterdam and met lot's of other Gloria fans during the european Conga Bash. It was so nice te meet other fans who are just as passionate about Gloria as I am!

Those 3 days where really a long time dream for me that came true!!! I never immagined me meeting Gloria in person and talking to her! I still get a big smile on my face everytime I think of that days!

I'm going to visit Gloria's concert in Holland september 5th this year, and am really looking forward to see other fans again who I met on the bash! And ofcourse seeing Gloria perfome once again!
